I’m a fiction writer and educator living in Baltimore, Maryland.

I was raised in Utah and California, among epic landscapes and complicated histories that continue to shape my life and work. After finishing degrees at Yale University and Bank Street College of Education, I spent seven years as an elementary school teacher, developing project-based curriculum and excessive enthusiasm for fractions. These days, I teach undergraduate creative writing at Johns Hopkins University, where I earned my MFA in 2024. You can find my work in New Ohio Review and The Master’s Review.
